Muzur on migrants: We demand an urgent reaction from the KS Government and the BiH Ministry of Security

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The winner for the mayor of Ilidža, Nermin Muzur, commented on the murder in the settlement of Otes where migrants killed one person and injured two others. The police are searching for three migrants. 

Muzur reminded that as early as 07/28/2020, as a representative of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, he submitted an initiative for an urgent reaction from the Minister of Security, due to the endangered security of the residents of Ilidža Municipality, as a result of daily problems with migrants.

"Unfortunately, to this day, we residents of Ilidža have not felt any improvement, quite the opposite. We demand an urgent session of the Security Commission of the KS Assembly, the KS Government, the Security Commission at the federal and state levels, the urgent adoption of concrete measures and their urgent implementation. We also demand urgent and concrete measures from the BiH Ministry of Security. We must do everything to make our fellow citizens feel safe! I express my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and the injured, the loss is irreplaceable," said Muzur. 

Mirza Hadžiabdić, spokesperson for the Police Administration of the MUP KS, confirmed for Patria that the Usivak and Blazuj migrant camps have been full for a long time, and that even when the police take migrants there, they do not stay. These centers are managed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), to which EU funds are paid.
