MOSTAR, (Patria) - On the occasion of the 41st anniversary of the death of Džemal Bijedić, (January 18, 1977 – January 18, 2018), the Museum of Herzegovina is organizing an exhibition titled “Džemal Bijedić, the last farewell, January 77”.
The exhibition will be opened on Wednesday at 6:30 PM in the Mostar Cultural Center.
The exhibition includes part of the documentary material from the museum collection “Džemal Bijedić” related to the funeral and commemoration from January 1977, which includes photographs from the accident site, photographs from the commemorative sessions in the Assembly of Yugoslavia and the Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Government and his native Mostar, then the funeral at Sarajevo cemetery, etc., it was announced from the Museum of Herzegovina.
In addition to photographs, condolence telegrams will also be exhibited, as well as press coverage of the event, primarily Mostar’s Sloboda and Sarajevo’s Oslobođenje.
The exhibition will be discussed by curator, historians Indira Gaštan – Bešo and Prof. Dr. Husnija Kamberović.
