Men who attacked police officers in Vogošća were avenging Delić's murder

The men who attacked police officers in Vogošća on Wednesday evening and damaged a police vehicle were taking revenge on the police for the murder of Nedim Delić (25), who was killed by police at the Ilidža roundabout the night before, Patria learns.

After the attack on the police patrol, two men were arrested by Sarajevo special forces...

Nedim Delić was killed in an exchange of fire with police at the end of June, after he and three other robbers looted a shop in the Vogošća neighborhood of Svrake. The group of robbers fled towards Ilidža after midnight, when they opened fire on police who tried to stop them. Police returned fire. Delić died from his injuries. One man was wounded, and the other two robbers were arrested.

Citizens of Sarajevo are shocked by the fact that a gang would go so far as to no longer hesitate to shoot at police officers. They are calling for stricter controls and penalties for those who break the law.

However, Sarajevans were shocked again the very next day when it was revealed that Delić's friends attacked the police in Vogošća a day after his murder. Two men, M. A., born in 1995 in Tuzla, and M. S., born in 1991 in Srebrenica, both residing in Vogošća, attacked a police patrol, injured police officers, and damaged their vehicle.

Thousands of citizens of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina are demanding that the police stop the gang's terror, Patria writes.
