SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The duty prosecutor of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office has been informed about the arrest of one person at the "Miljacka" Detention Center for the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, confirmed Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, for the media.
R. A. was arrested for attempting to bring a certain amount of drugs, imprinted on photos using a thermal method, to his brother who is in prison. The detention center is currently blocked, and an investigation is underway by members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton. The drugs were detected by a service dog. The operation was carried out in cooperation with the OSA (Agency for Security and Information) as part of anti-corruption activities.
The Sarajevo Canton Office for Combating Corruption and Quality Management provided information about the possible entry of a larger quantity of drugs into the Sarajevo Detention Center, and the OSA then provided precise information about everything.
