(Patria) - Billionaire Elon Musk has donated money to a political group working on the election of former US President Donald Trump, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing sources.
The report does not specify how much Musk donated, but adds that it was a "significant amount" given to a group called America PAC, Reuters reported.
Bloomberg reported that the PAC, a group that can receive unlimited contributions for political activities, is due to publish its list of donors on July 15.
In March, Trump, who is expected to be formally nominated as the Republican Party candidate for the November 5 election next week, met with Musk and other wealthy donors.
In response to reports of the meeting, Musk, born in South Africa and one of the richest people in the world, posted on X: "Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to any US presidential candidate."
