Muriz Memić: Expert Karan told me he found stab wounds on Dženan!

Muriz Memić, father of the murdered young man Dženan Memić, stated for the first time yesterday at a protest in Vienna on Heldenplatz that stab wounds were also found on his son's body! They were located on the left upper arm and the fleshy part.

There is no written record of this, which suggests that the description of the discovered injuries was intentionally omitted from the autopsy report and findings of medical experts Hamza Žujo and Željko Karan. Memić confirmed that expert Karan told him about the stab wounds. He presented his findings before the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo in March of this year. However, considering the fact that Karan thought he was preparing the findings for the needs of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, which claims that Dženan died in a traffic accident, it is clear why Karan did not describe the discovered stab wounds.

Precisely during a break in the examination of expert Karan, prosecutor Sead Kreštalica tried to influence him by asking: What are you doing, why are you testifying like that? Memić and his daughter Arijana were present. After that, Memić filed a criminal complaint against Kreštalica for abuse of position and influence on witnesses.

During his testimony, Karan listed the injuries he observed on Dženan's body based on available medical documentation and photographs, and thus also presented the information that the injuries the young man had on his hands were defensive. He agreed that a violent death had occurred. On the other hand, Karan said that no injuries corresponding to a typical vehicle-pedestrian impact were found on the body.

- The most protruding part of the vehicle should have made contact with the lower leg, thigh, or buttocks - said the expert.

When asked by defense attorney Rusmir Karkin whether any injury on Dženan could be linked to sliding or scraping of the body after being thrown, the expert replied that none could.

- If that were the case, Dženan Memić's clothing should have shown extensive traces of damage - Karan said in March of this year.

Expert Hamza Žujo was only called to court on April 18, 2017, to present his findings, and he worked on this case six times!

From this temporal distance and based on the information presented by Memić, let us recall Žujo's autopsy findings.

- The body was covered with medical gauze and a bandage on the head. That is all I found on the body. In every autopsy, the body is measured. I found it to be 190 cm. After performing the external examination, I noted injuries, i.e., an opening in the temporal region of the left side of the head - said Žujo, adding that superficial injuries were found on the skin of the right hand, right knee, skin of the left knee, and skin of the left upper arm area, which he could have sustained from a fall.

- During the autopsy, I found no injuries on the legs, abdomen, pelvis, or chest. I did not find any, and there is photographic documentation showing this - said Žujo.

Precisely the wound that Žujo found on the left upper arm was, according to Karan, a stab wound. Dženan had another stab wound on the fleshy part.

These facts alone should be a signal that attempts are being made in every way to hide the truth about Dženan's death/murder.

We also recall the statement of Muriz Memić and his attorney Ifet Feraget, to whom the chief prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, Dalida Burzić, said: “He did not want to kill him. It was a shoving match that escalated.”

Memić and his attorney have informed the members of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council about everything, and a reaction from the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected soon.

From Vienna, Memić requested that the case of his son's murder be taken over by the State Prosecutor's Office. Apart from the Memić family, the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are certainly suffering the greatest damage, losing trust in institutions that should protect citizens and respect the law.

Justice has stalled in the cases of the murders of Dženan Memić and David Dragičević. However, the families say they will not give up until all those involved in the unprecedented cover-up of the murders of the two young men are brought to justice.

The same expert performed the autopsy on the murdered David Dragičević, stating that death was caused by drowning, but he ruled out the possibility that it was an accidental death.
