MUP TK reveals perpetrators of 20 criminal offenses - false bomb threats in Tuzla and Kalesija

(Patria) - Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Tuzla Canton (TK) worked intensively on solving and identifying perpetrators who sent false reports about planted explosive devices/bombs during October in the area of Tuzla and Kalesija.

Through coordinated cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Police Administration (FUP), and the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, and acting under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of TK, they solved and documented a total of 20 criminal offenses, and identified their perpetrators.

Namely, in cooperation with the FUP and the MUP of Sarajevo Canton, a minor from Sarajevo was identified who is suspected of sending false reports via email about allegedly planted explosive devices/bombs in secondary schools in Tuzla.

Against this minor, a Report was submitted today to the Prosecutor's Office of TK due to reasonable suspicion that he committed six criminal offenses of Causing General Danger under Article 323 of the Criminal Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Regarding the event of October 22, 2024 - a false report about a planted explosive device/bomb at the Police Station and school in Kalesija, in cooperation with OSA, the perpetrator was identified as A.A. (22), who was deprived of liberty and handed over with a Report to the Prosecutor's Office of TK for further action due to reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of Endangering Security under Article 183 of the Criminal Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Furthermore, four more minors were identified who falsely reported via phone about allegedly planted explosive devices/bombs in secondary schools in Tuzla, and who are suspected of committing the criminal offense of Misuse of the Sign for Help and Danger under Article 372 of the Criminal Law of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (this involves a total of 13 solved criminal offenses), and against them, after the case is completed, appropriate Reports with accompanying evidence will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of TK.
