SJW Ministry: Searches at several locations, four people arrested for drugs

Officials of the criminal police sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central Bosnia Canton Travnik have conducted a wider operation in the past few days to prevent and detect criminal offenses related to the abuse of narcotic drugs, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Warrants from competent courts were obtained for the search of apartments in the areas of Vitez, Novi Travnik, Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, Kiseljak, Travnik, and Donji Vakuf. During the searches, a certain amount of substances suspected to be narcotic drugs was found.

The last case was documented yesterday (April 2nd), when two individuals with initials D.K. born in 1985 and P.T. born in 1966 were deprived of liberty in the area of Kiseljak. During the search of D.K., about 30 grams of a substance suspected to be the narcotic drug "speed" was found, as well as planted marijuana seeds in pots, some of which had already grown. The exact substances will be determined by expert examination of the found material. Also found were 2 digital scales for measuring and dividing narcotics, and mobile phones. Upon completion of the criminal investigation, the individuals will be handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office Travnik for further proceedings, along with a report on the committed criminal offense.

The mentioned operation was also carried out in Novi Travnik in the past few days, where, based on a warrant from the Municipal Court Travnik for the search of an apartment used by a person with initials S.G. born in 1987 from Novi Travnik, a search was conducted. During the search, a certain amount of substance suspected to be marijuana was found with the suspect. A larger amount of money was also found, for which there are grounds to suspect it originates from the sale of narcotic substances, and a digital scale intended for weighing and dividing narcotic drugs was also found. The suspect was deprived of liberty, and after the completion of the criminal investigation, a report will be submitted to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office Travnik.

The success of this operation was also recorded in Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje, where a person with initials H.R. born in 1970 from Gornji Vakuf-Uskoplje was deprived of liberty. During the search of his premises, a small amount of a substance suspected to be marijuana, a certain amount of money, and a mobile phone were found. The suspect was deprived of liberty, and after the criminal investigation was carried out, he was handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office Travnik for further proceedings.
