RS Ministry of Interior provides support to BiH Border Police in the migrant crisis

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač today received the Head of the International Organization for Migration BiH (IOM) Peter Van der Auweraert, with whom he discussed the current migrant crisis in the country.

Minister Lukač informed the Head of IOM about the security situation in Republika Srpska, from the perspective of the migrant crisis, as well as about the activities undertaken by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska in this regard, especially concerning the engagement of Ministry personnel in providing support to the BiH Border Police.

The meeting also discussed the possibilities of material and financial assistance from IOM to the activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska related to the migrant crisis.
