MUP KS: Six arrested for false reporting of explosive devices, including five minors

(Patria) - Police officers of the MUP KS Police Administration, under the supervision of the KS Prosecutor's Office, arrested an 18-year-old high school student from the KS area with initials A.D. this afternoon.

As announced by the MUP KS, A.D. was arrested on suspicion of having falsely reported the presence of explosive devices in schools in the KS area in the past period, thereby committing the criminal offense of Endangering Security (Article 183, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) in connection with the criminal offense of False Reporting (Article 347, Paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

So far, as a result of the work of a joint team operating under the leadership of the KS Prosecutor's Office, consisting of police officers from the MUP KS Police Administration and the Federal Police Administration (FUP), in cooperation with the OSA of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a total of six persons have been arrested, five of whom are minors.

Among those arrested is one minor suspected of having committed the criminal offenses of Failure to Report a Criminal Offense (Article 344, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) in connection with Aiding an Offender After the Commission of a Criminal Offense (Article 346, Paragraph of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Additionally, so far, a total of eight minors have been examined as suspects in the official premises of the Police Administration on suspicion of having committed criminal offenses by sending electronic mail to schools in the KS area and beyond, containing false threats about the presence of explosive devices in school premises.

Several minors have been heard as witnesses, and this team continues intensive work on identifying and locating all persons who have committed the aforementioned criminal offenses in the previous period, as well as those who knew about them and assisted the perpetrators in various ways.
