MUP KS: Arrested Amar Bašić handed over to the Judicial Police

(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton handed over to the Judicial Police today a 35-year-old man, A.B., who was arrested yesterday based on a warrant in the Dobrinja settlement, in the area of the Sarajevo municipality of Novi Grad.

This is a continuation of the operational action "Porto", conducted under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, with the aim of clarifying and documenting several criminal offenses of robbery and aggravated theft.

Previously, on July 3, 25-year-old A.H. and 24-year-old A.K. were arrested.

There is a reasonable suspicion that these three men committed four criminal offenses of Robbery (Article 289, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and two criminal offenses of Aggravated Theft (Article 287, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) in the period from June 13 to June 21 in the Sarajevo Canton, causing material damage of over 100,000 KM to individuals and legal entities.

(35) is also charged with the criminal offenses of Attack on an official in the performance of security duties (Article 359, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Preventing an official from performing an official act (Article 358 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Let us remind you, yesterday we reported that according to unofficial information, Amar Bašić was arrested in Dobrinja, who on July 3 in the Švrakino Selo settlement tried to run over police officers with his vehicle and escaped.

During the attempt to arrest him, he attacked them and fled, and the police officers were forced to shoot to protect their lives. Fortunately, no one was injured, and a warrant was issued for Bašić that day.
