KS Ministry of Interior announced details of the accident in Sarajevo in which a girl died

(Patria) - One girl died, and two were seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred in the center of Sarajevo, and one person was arrested after the investigation. The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton also announced details about the accident.

According to the police report, on 05/26/2023, around 11:30 PM, a traffic accident occurred on the roadway at the intersection of Maršala Tita and Dolina streets, Centar Sarajevo municipality.

At that time, pedestrians S.A., born in 1998 from Sarajevo, S.A., born in 1997, and S.E., born in 2002 from Ilidža, were hit and knocked down on the roadway by a passenger motor vehicle of the brand "Mercedes", driven by driver B.A., born in 1996 from Sarajevo.

In this traffic accident, pedestrian S.A. died at the scene, pedestrian S.A. sustained serious life-threatening injuries, while S.E. sustained serious injuries. Medical assistance was provided to them at the Emergency Center of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo.

The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed about the incident, and the investigation conducted by the investigation team of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton continued.

On the same day at 02:30 AM, police officers of the Uniformed Police Sector deprived B.A. from Sarajevo of his liberty on suspicion of committing serious criminal offenses against safety and traffic, and his criminal processing is underway at the police.
