
(Patria) - The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton has released details of the shooting incident at Bentbaša, indicating that no one has yet been arrested for yesterday's attack.
- On 05/05/2024 at 17:55, the Old Town Police Department was informed that a physical altercation involving several individuals had occurred in Mustaj-pašin Mejdan street, Old Town municipality, and that a firearm had been used. Upon arrival at the scene, police officers determined that one man had been injured.
An investigation, supervised by the duty prosecutor, established that a fight had occurred between several individuals of Afro-Asian origin, involving the use of a weapon – a gas pistol – and a cold weapon – a knife. An Afghan national, M.G.H., was transported by ambulance to the Sarajevo University Clinical Center (KCUS), where it was determined that he sustained a right leg injury from a cold weapon – a knife – the KS Ministry of Interior stated.
The injured individual was admitted to KCUS for further treatment. One gas pistol was seized. Under the supervision of the prosecutor, police officers are continuing their work to clarify the criminal offenses of Violent Behavior (Article 362, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) by three individuals and Causing General Danger (Article 323 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) by M.G.H.
