KS Ministry of Interior did not announce speed, driver arrested: Audi 8 hit metal then concrete fence

The KS Ministry of Interior released details of a horrific traffic accident that occurred yesterday around 4 PM on the A1 highway (Sarajevo - Zenica) in which one person died, reports Patria agency. 

- In the traffic lane intended for vehicles moving from the direction of Zenica towards Sarajevo, on the bridge over the Bosna River in Ljubinići, Ilijaš municipality, a traffic accident occurred. The Audi 8 vehicle veered off to the right side of the road, hitting a metal guardrail, and then a concrete fence, driven by driver H.F., born in 1995. 

The Audi A8 then separated into two parts, and the detached parts hit a passenger motor vehicle, an Audi A5, which was on the road.

On the spot, a passenger from the Audi A8, A.A., born in 1993 in Sarajevo, where he resided, died. His death was confirmed by doctors from the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Medical Service. The body of the deceased was transported by KJKP "Pokop" vehicle to the "Bare" morgue, where an autopsy will be performed under the prosecutor's order.

Driver H.F. sustained minor injuries, and medical assistance was provided to him at the "Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš" General Hospital. The investigation was conducted by the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo, police officers of the KS Ministry of Interior, and authorized court experts in traffic and mechanical engineering.

Last night, H.F. was arrested on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 336, Paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Serious Offenses Against Public Traffic Safety) and handed over to the premises of the Unit for Security of Facilities and Detention of Persons Deprived of Liberty of the KS Ministry of Interior. Police officers are continuing their work to document the mentioned event.

Patria's sources claim that the vehicle must have been traveling at a speed of 200 km/h, and it is even possible that the vehicle was airborne at one point.
