(Patria) - In order to objectively inform the public, the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton informs the public that the allegations that appeared today in the public space that "the police do not want to conduct counter-sabotage inspections" in schools after receiving threatening emails are untrue, the MUP KS stated.
"Police officers of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton today, as on all previous days, upon receiving the information, went to the field, notified the duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, and conducted a security assessment for each facility individually – and after establishing all circumstances and carrying out checks, acted in accordance with the established factual situation," the statement said.
As they state, an investigation was carried out at all locations, and at some locations, an evacuation of the facility was carried out, followed by a counter-sabotage inspection.
"We note that until this week, a counter-sabotage inspection was carried out for each reported case, and it was determined that all reports were false reporting.
We call on all interested parties to refrain from publishing and spreading unverified, inaccurate, or partial information, and especially to convey verified, clear, and accurate information to students, parents, and teaching staff regarding safety in school facilities," the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton concluded.
