MUP KS still investigating who threatened businessman Nihad Imamović and his family

The Ministry of Interior of the Sarajevo Canton is still investigating who sent threats to businessman Nihad Imamović and his family on February 18, 2016, after which he abandoned the purchase of the company Agrokomerc from Velika Kladuša, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

We recall that Imamović received threats just a few days before the deadline for payment of 12 million KM, which he offered at an oral auction before the Municipal Court in Velika Kladuša for the sale of Agrokomerc. Upon returning from a business trip to Sarajevo, Imamović reported the threats he received by phone on February 22, 2016.

From the MUP KS, they previously confirmed to the Patria agency that police officers of the Police Administration of the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, are taking all legally prescribed measures and actions within their jurisdiction with the aim of clarifying the said criminal offense (endangering security), identifying and finding the perpetrator.

From the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office KS, they stated that this criminal offense carries a penalty of up to five years in prison. As they explained from the Prosecutor's Office KS, for such acts, the MUP KS is responsible, which informs the Prosecutor's Office about new information in the process or investigation.

- So far, the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office KS has only received information that it is an unknown perpetrator – they say from the Prosecutor's Office KS.

After Imamović officially abandoned the purchase, the right to purchase went to the second-best bidder, the company Silsila, owned by businessman Mustafa Gadža. He offered 5.5 million KM, and he also had a few days left to pay the money. He previously told Patria that he has a 30-day deadline to declare himself.

If, by any chance, Gadža also abandons, the third bidder is the FBiH Development Bank with 2.2 million KM, although the estimated value of Agrokomerc is over 23 million KM.
