Muhasilović: These are the most important local elections since the war, as they will determine the direction we are heading!

Jahja Muhasilović, professor of international relations and holder of the SDA list for the Old Town Municipal Council, emphasizes that harmful political processes at the state level have forced many people to become politically active. After years of experience in political analysis, Muhasilović believes it is time for a concrete contribution at the local level.

"For some time now, I have believed that the political changes happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina are not in the interest of our people. That is why I decided to actively engage in politics and help improve the situation in the Old Town."

Muhasilović was born and raised in the Old Town, and now, as the holder of the SDA list, he wants to initiate projects that will restore citizens' trust in local politics.

"The Old Town is my home, we have been here for generations, and I feel responsible for changing the current policies that do not lead to the progress of our community. I want to improve the situation and make our city a better place to live," emphasizes Muhasilović.

Muhasilović highlights the presence of organized crime, insecurity in the community, and insufficient transparency in the work of local government as some of the biggest challenges.

"One of the first steps will be the fight against organized crime, which has unfortunately usurped our municipality. Also, I plan to improve the municipality through the concept of smart cities, which will significantly improve the quality of life in the Old Town," adds Muhasilović.

"With his coalition partners, Muhasilović wants to modernize municipal policies and increase the engagement of young and competent people.

"Our list is refreshed, rejuvenated, and full of capable people. It is time for change, and we are ready to give our best".

Jahja Muhasilović concludes with a message that these elections are crucial for the future not only of the Old Town but also of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He calls on all citizens to go to the polls and support change with their vote.

"If we want change, we must all actively participate. These are perhaps the most important local elections since the war, as they will determine the direction we are heading, not only locally but also at the state level," concludes Muhasilović.
