Mueller to Congress: No Conspiracy with Russia

Special Counsel Robert Mueller confirmed in his report to the US Attorney General that President Donald Trump and his associates did not cooperate with Russia in the context of the 2016 presidential elections, writes Patria.

After forwarding the report to the US Congress, US Attorney General William Barr stated in an accompanying letter to this institution that he did not establish a direct link between Trump's presidential campaign and the Kremlin's strategy to influence the presidential elections. He also stated that Mueller was unable to conclude whether Trump or anyone in the White House obstructed the investigation, world media report.

Everything indicates that after a two-year investigation, Mueller will not bring new indictments.

The decision on a potential continuation of the process remains with Attorney General Barr and his deputy Rod Rosenstein.

Barr called the allegations of obstruction of justice 'inconclusive as to whether the President committed a crime'. In his letter, he also stated that his decision was not based on limitations because it concerns the current president, world media report, according to Patria.
