BiH Ministry of Security: We are ready to accept refugees from Ukraine, no entries recorded so far

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina is monitoring the refugee situation in Ukraine, considering that a significant number of residents are forced to leave this area due to hostilities and seek shelter and protection in other countries. For this purpose, information is continuously exchanged with relevant international organizations so that, if necessary, in accordance with legal regulations and available capacities, BiH can adequately provide assistance to Ukrainian citizens who may seek protection in our country.

For this purpose, the BiH Ministry of Security has accommodation capacities at the Delijaš Asylum Center near Trnovo, which is fully functional and equipped for this purpose. Also, the Salakovac Refugee Reception Center, which is under the jurisdiction of the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, is available.

So far, no entries into BiH and requests for international assistance from Ukrainian citizens have been recorded.
