Mostar police still haven't found attacker of anti-fascists in Mostar

MOSTAR, (Patria) – Mostar police have still not shed light on the attack on gathered anti-fascists that occurred on February 15 after leaving the Partisan Cemetery where the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Mostar from fascism was marked. 

More than 2,500 anti-fascists from BiH and the region were prevented from parading through Mostar because the police assessed that security was threatened, and they also had information that an incident could occur. Ljudevit Marić, spokesperson for the MUP HNK, told the Patria News Agency today that the police are searching for the perpetrator who threw a burning bottle at the anti-fascists.

Marić revealed that there are certain indications about the perpetrator, but that police officers are conducting checks and will then take actions prescribed by law. 

This attack will be treated as a misdemeanor, i.e., it will be determined whether there are elements of a criminal offense. 

Otherwise, anti-fascists who came to the Partisan Cemetery that day were met with Ustaše slogans and symbols as a sign of "welcome", telling them that they do not belong there.
