(Patria) - At the proposal of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Prosecutor's Office, the Municipal Court in Mostar ordered custody for the suspect Ajdin Muharemović (2002) from Mostar for a maximum of 30 days.
There is a well-founded suspicion that Muharemović committed the criminal offense of "violent behavior" as an accomplice.
The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Prosecutor's Office announced today that they suspect Muharemović of stopping his VW Polo vehicle around 11 PM on September 1st of this year in Mostar, on Ante Starčević Street, in front of two minors, with four other unknown male individuals inside.
He then, together with the aforementioned unknown individuals, physically attacked the minors (victims) without any provocation, hitting them with fists and kicks to the body.
The statement further states that the victims fell to the ground and sustained minor bodily injuries, while the attackers, due to the reaction of passers-by, stopped the attack and drove away in the direction of the "Ero" hotel.
The Prosecutor's Office proposed to the court that custody be ordered for the suspect Muharemović due to special circumstances justifying the fear that he will repeat the same or a similar criminal offense, for which a prison sentence of three years or more can be imposed, which the Municipal Court in Mostar accepted and deemed entirely founded and justified, and ordered the suspect into custody.
The Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the Mostar Police Department, continues to undertake investigative actions in this case in order to identify other accomplices and establish all the facts and circumstances under which this criminal offense was committed.
