Mostar SG Staklorad starts Champions League campaign against Israeli Maccabi

MOSTAR, (Patria) - Futsal club Mostar SG Staklorad is hosting the preliminary stage of the UEFA Futsal Champions League, which will be played in Mostar from Wednesday to Sunday in the "Midhat Hujdur Hujka" hall.

The first match will be played tonight at 7:00 PM between the teams JB Futsal Gentofte and Wattcell Futsal Club Edinburgh.

In the first match, the BiH champion will face Maccabi Nahalat Yitzhak Tel-Aviv (Israel) tonight at 9:15 PM, and on Thursday at the same time with Wattcell (Scotland).

On Saturday at 8:00 PM, in their last match, the Mostar team will play against Futsal Gentofte (Denmark).

- We expect a victory. The team can't wait to get on the court to defend the colours of our country, association, and city - said Amel Bajgorić, president of Mostar SG Staklorad.

UEFA inspectors visited the hall on Tuesday evening, and Mostar received praise for the current condition of the hall and all accompanying facilities.

- UEFA representatives stated in their report that the hall is in perfect condition and that all conditions have been met for the competition starting tonight. Later, a LOC meeting was held at the Sports Association of the City of Mostar, attended by UEFA representatives, referees, representatives of all participating clubs, and individuals involved in the organization of the upcoming futsal spectacle in the city on the Neretva River - say Mostar SG Staklorad.
