Mostar, Sarajevo, Banja Luka: Orchestra and Choir of the U.S. European Command to Hold Concerts

The U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina is pleased to announce the visit of the orchestra and choir of the U.S. European Command. From 1756 and the military orchestra from Benjamin Franklin's time in Pennsylvania to the present day, American military orchestras have entertained troops and played an important role as “musical ambassadors” of the United States.

The orchestra and choir of the U.S. European Command, originally activated in 1940, is currently the third largest orchestra and choir of the U.S. Army, the largest outside the United States, and the primary military performing ensemble in Europe. This orchestra and choir performs more than 200 times each year, and have performed in over 20 countries, from Russia to Iraq.

The orchestra and choir will perform in Mostar, Sarajevo, and Banja Luka, performing numbers by world-famous stars such as Rihanna, Michael Jackson, and Bruno Mars. In Sarajevo and Banja Luka, the military orchestra of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina will perform together with the orchestra and choir of the U.S. European Command.

All performances will be free.

The concert in Mostar will be held on Friday, May 18 at 7:00 PM at the HD Herceg Stjepan Kosača.

The concert in Sarajevo will be held on May 21, 2018, at 6:00 PM at the Dom Oružanih snaga BiH.

The concert in Banja Luka will be held on May 22, 2018 at 8:00 PM at the Banski dvor Cultural Center.
