At least two people were killed and eight were wounded in a shooting last night in the center of Moscow, Russian media reported, according to the Patria news agency.
The Interfax agency reported that the shooting occurred around 10 p.m. on a street in central Moscow, near the Kremlin.
Russian television Life News showed footage from security cameras on the street showing two groups of about 15 men shooting at each other with firearms.
Clashes between organized gangs, which were common in Russia in the 1990s, are now much rarer.
