Moscow: Resumption of air traffic between Russia and the United States should have been done long ago

(Patria) - The Russian side hopes that the United States will show enough political will to lift the air blockade, which has lost all meaning, said the head of the North Atlantic Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexander Gusarov, adding that the resumption of air traffic between the countries should have been done long ago, TASS reported.

"The resumption of direct air traffic between Russia and the United States should have been done long ago. This step would clearly show an improvement in dialogue between the two countries and the revival of mutual trust at the interstate level," he told the Izvestia newspaper.

"We hope that the American side will show enough political will to lift the air blockade, which has lost all meaning," Gusarov added.
