(Patria) - Russia's Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandar Bocan-Harčenko has been ordered to take concrete steps to support the normalization of the situation around Kosovo.
This was stated today by the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, who also added that official Moscow is awaiting a reaction from Belgrade, according to Belgrade media.
“Regarding the embassy in Belgrade, the Russian ambassador to Serbia, who is in close contact with the Serbian leadership, has received instructions to take concrete steps of support, which consist of normalizing or proposing ways to normalize the situation. We are awaiting a reaction from Belgrade,” she said.
Let us recall, a few days ago Moscow announced that Serbia had not requested any assistance from Russia regarding the latest crisis in Kosovo. At that time, Moscow stated that Russia stands with the Serbs in Kosovo and that the most important thing is to ensure their interests.
