Wet and slippery roads, traffic stopped due to accident in Lapšinica

(Patria) - Movement of all vehicles across the bridge on the main road Dobro Polje-Miljevina is prohibited. Vehicles with a total mass of up to 3.5 tons can use the roads via Kalinovik (there are 19 km of unpaved road) and Grebak, while trucks must go via Rogatica and Goražde. Due to a traffic accident on the main road Sarajevo-Pale, in the town of Lapišnica, traffic is stopped.

In most of Bosnia and Herzegovina, traffic is moving on wet and occasionally slippery roads this morning. Due to rain affecting some regions, and locally heavy rainfall and thunderstorms, drivers are advised to exercise additional caution.

Due to frequent landslides, we advise special caution on the following sections: Bihać-Srbljani-Bosanska Krupa, Crna Rijeka-Jajce, Bugojno-Kupres, Kladanj-Vlasenica, Simin Han-Banj Brdo, Srebrenik-Šićki Brod-Olovo, Ribnica-Banovići, Mostar-Doljani, Buna-Masline, Sarajevo-Foča-GP Šćepan Polje, Goražde-Čajniče-GP Metaljka and Višegrad-Vardište, as well as the passes Rostovo (Novi Travnik-Bugojno), Mlinište (Glamoč-Mrkonjić Grad) and Makljen (Prozor-Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje).

Crosswinds are possible on open sections, especially in Herzegovina. Due to the aforementioned weather conditions, we recommend avoiding sudden braking and increasing the distance between vehicles.

Due to construction work on a noise barrier on the A-1 highway section Sarajevo sjever-Podlugovi, traffic is only using the overtaking lane.

On the main road Jablanica-Blidinje, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still prohibited.

Passenger vehicle traffic at border crossings is proceeding with short delays.

Due to passenger registration under the new EU entry/exit system (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays at border crossings are possible.

The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. From December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing will be open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all trucks is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
