
(Patria) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, known as MBS, spoke by phone on Sunday with French President
Emmanuel Macron about the situation in the Gaza Strip and efforts to promote peace in the Middle East, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) announced.
According to SPA, the two leaders "discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the efforts being made to end the war in the strip and improve security and stability in the Middle East".
"They stressed the necessity of immediate alleviation of the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people and achieving a complete Israeli withdrawal," SPA reported, as cited by Al Arabiya.
They also agreed on the importance of taking practical steps towards a "just peace" based on the two-state solution.
The call also covered ongoing Saudi-French cooperation in several areas and other issues of mutual interest, SPA announced.
