Young Bosnian Actor Ismir Gagula Cast in Pink Panther Gang Series

Filming of the series "The Last Panthers" has been underway in Montenegro for four weeks, featuring a notable role for 17-year-old Bosnian actor Ismir Gagula, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The TV series is inspired by the infamous Pink Panther gang, responsible for a series of spectacular jewel heists around the world. The idea for the six-episode series was initiated by French journalist Jérôme Pierrat, with a screenplay by Jack Thorne. The director of the series "The Last Panthers" is Johan Renck.

According to Interpol, the Pink Panther gang consists of several hundred members, most of whom are from Serbia and Montenegro.

Scenes filmed in Montenegro will actually represent Bosnia and Herzegovina, and further filming will take place in Serbia (Belgrade), London, France, and other locations...

The producers are "Haut et court" from France and "Warp Films" from Great Britain, with the support of co-producers from each country where filming takes place.

The story begins with a diamond theft and then follows the movement across Europe. In addition to Gagula, the series stars Samantha Morton, John Hurt, Tahar Rahim, Goran Bogdan, Nikola Đuričko, Bojan Dimitrijević, and others.

The premiere of the series is expected next year.

WHO IS ISMIR GAGULA

Young Bosnian actor Ismir Gagula was born on October 14, 1997. In 2012, at the age of 14, he played the main male role in the award-winning film "Children" by director Aida Begić at the Cannes Film Festival. This film opened the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2012. In addition to this film, Ismir also shot three short films: "MY! MY! MY little room", "Morning Prayers", and "Quintet", which were presented at festivals in Sarajevo, Zagreb, Herceg Novi, and elsewhere.

Ismir attends the Secondary Graphic School and intends to enroll in the Academy of Performing Arts.
