One-Month Detention for Ifeta Karić Suspected of Killing Her Husband

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Tuzla, through the preliminary proceedings judge, in the criminal case against the suspect Ifeta Karić, due to reasonable suspicion that she committed the criminal offense of Murder under Article 166, paragraph 2, point f) of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, deciding on the proposal of the Tuzla Canton Prosecutor's Office, issued a decision ordering the suspect into custody for a duration of one month.

Ifeta Karić is suspected of having, on September 21, 2025, in the afternoon hours, in the family home in Donja Orahovica, killed her husband S.K. with a knife.

The court determined that the proposal for detention was justified based on the reasons prescribed by the provision of Article 146, paragraph 1, point c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., due to the existence of special circumstances indicating a danger of repeating the criminal offense.
