Mitrović: Reconsider police escorts for trucks

(Patria) - After yesterday witnessing the extremely difficult situation of the current state of road freight transport at the Bosanska Gradiška Border Crossing, the Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vojin Mitrović, also visited the Rača Border Crossing today. After visiting the Rača Border Crossing, Minister Mitrović spoke with representatives of the BiH Border Police, the BiH Indirect Taxation Authority, and transporters, and saw firsthand that the situation at this crossing is satisfactory, given that there are no long waits to cross the border, nor are there queues of vehicles as was the case in Gradiška.

Minister Mitrović asked all drivers, who he stated are having the hardest time at the moment, for patience and understanding, as the Ministry he heads is doing everything to normalize the overall situation. He also expressed gratitude to all members of the Border Police, the Indirect Taxation Authority, and accompanying inspections who are also tirelessly performing their difficult jobs.

In the end, he emphasized that it is necessary for the Republic of Serbia to reconsider the need for police escorts for trucks crossing into the Republic of Serbia.
