MOSCOW, (Patria) - Our top tennis player Mirza Bašić has advanced to the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Moscow without a fight.
Namely, before the match that was supposed to be played tonight, Bašić's opponent Nick Kyrgios from Australia cancelled his participation, thus our tennis player advanced among the top eight where he will play against the 3rd seed Karen Khachanov.
Bašić has come one step away from defending last year's semi-final at the same tournament.
Regardless of the outcome of the duel against Khachanov, Bašić will not significantly worsen his ATP ranking.
