Mirza Bašić qualifies for the main draw of the tournament in Moscow

Bosnia and Herzegovina's tennis player Mirza Bašić has qualified for the main draw of the ATP tournament in Moscow, reports Patria News Agency.

Mirza achieved this great success by winning the final of the qualifiers against local tennis player Mikhail Kukushkin with a score of 2:0, with sets 7:6 and 6:3, writes Sportsport.

With excellent play, Bašić defeated the favoured Kazakhstani player. The first set saw a great battle with only one break opportunity, which our tennis player saved. It went into a tie-break, in which Bašić dominated and won the first set 7:6 (7-4).

One break in the match was enough for Mirza to qualify for the main draw. The key moment occurred in the eighth game of the second set when the Bosnian and Herzegovinian tennis player used his fifth break point to take his opponent's serve.

He then finished the job with an easy serve and qualified for the main draw.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will thus have two tennis players at the ATP tournament in Moscow (Damir Džumhur is already in the main draw), and it will soon be known who Bašić will play against.
