Miroslav and Marko Mišković found guilty of tax evasion

BELGRADE, (Patria) - Miroslav and Marko Mišković have been found guilty of tax evasion, RTS reported.

The Special Court Council, six years after the start of the trial, in a repeated proceeding, found the president of Delta Holding company Miroslav Mišković and his son Marko guilty of tax evasion. The owner of Nibens Corporation, Milo Đurašković, was also found guilty. The decision on guilt was made by a majority vote.

Miroslav Mišković was sentenced to two and a half years in prison, while Marko was sentenced to one year of house arrest with an electronic monitoring bracelet.

As reported by N1 reporter, a large number of journalists came to hear the verdict. Miroslav Mišković did not appear in court, unlike his son Marko and Đurašković.

B92 reminds that Miroslav Mišković was arrested at the end of 2012, spent seven months in custody, and was granted bail, the largest ever imposed in Serbia, of 12 million euros as a guarantee that he would attend the trials.

RSE reminds that Mišković is one of the Serbian tycoons whose business empire was conceived during the international isolation of Serbia under Slobodan Milošević, and that Mišković's companies continued their dizzying growth even after Milošević's fall.
