Calm in full halls in Doboj, Zvornik, Srebrenica, why the incident where Statehood Day wasn't even marked!?

Bosnia and Herzegovina is an extremely strange society, its lavish distinctiveness is particularly adorned by the media, which often pay attention to what is not news, and news remains in the back burner sections, which few people open. Thus, yesterday on BiH Statehood Day, media headlines were teeming with leaders of the 'trojka' Elmedin Konaković, Edin Forto, and Nermin Nikšić.

The three of them, plus Vojin Mijatović, were the news of the day with the marking of Statehood Day, which wasn't even marked, and attention was focused on a few gathered members of the Veterans' Association who had something to say to the leaders of the 'trojka'. True, they also had something to say to them, primarily Nikšić, who had a heated conversation with journalists! Of course, everything was properly presented and recorded.

All for the front page, and on a day when BiH needs all possible peace and dignity. But, such images do not take precedence. Why, conclude for yourselves.

However, it should be noted that Statehood Day was marked in several cities in Republika Srpska with ceremonies, visits to monuments, and graves, and children in Srebrenica even walked through the city streets with state symbols. All without a single incident. Do we need to remind that Bosniaks recently lost their representative in the leadership of the Assembly with the dismissal of Hamdija Fejzić, and that the situation is not peaceful and idyllic.

Srebrenica yesterday

If anyone is going to justify that the 'trojka' leaders are at the state level, and that's why they bothered the veterans' population from Republika Srpska, it should be mentioned that Minister Sevlid Hurtić, also from the state level, was in Doboj. He will admit that everything went smoothly – dignified in a full hall.

In Zvornik, Statehood Day was also marked in a full hall. Money was also collected for the people in Gaza. There were no problems there either.

Zvornik yesterday

For a completely clearer picture of what we saw yesterday, which, I have the right to suspect, was staged in the kitchens of the intelligence services of neighboring countries, it is worth recalling last year's Academy on the occasion of BiH Statehood Day. Last year too, Vojin Mijatović organized everything, but the hall was full, and Željko Komšić even came. All without any problems. And it's not like the entity authorities in Republika Srpska supported Statehood Day back then.

From last year's Academy in Banja Luka

The atmosphere is the same, the Republika Srpska entity does not recognize Statehood Day. They are persistent in fascism, and everything is the same this year as last year. Or maybe not? In terms of political relations, the stories are definitely not the same. Mijatović became a federal minister, and the 'trojka' is in power vertically.

This year too, no one even invited Komšić to Banja Luka.

Messages of peace, coexistence, friendship, unity, and the fight for a better future were sent from Banja Luka in a slightly different way than last year.

So, perhaps it's about time, after all, it's the 80th anniversary of ZAVNOBiH, and Dodik has become a European man!?

And, as the returnees know, who marked Statehood Day peacefully and with dignity throughout Republika Srpska.

They showed love for BiH in a civilized way, even though it is not easy for them at all, as they are even forbidden to learn their mother tongue, and after the performance from Banja Luka, it will not be easy for them at all. They are still in the clutches of Milorad Dodik's politics, while the leaders of the 'trojka' left the BiH entity of Republika Srpska with heavy security and escorts, because the priority is to arrive at guest appearances and confirm 'their bravery' from small screens.

In the end, Ćamil Duraković, vice-president of Republika Srpska, perhaps assessed the situation we are in best.

“Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, allegedly due to security reasons, is "banned" in the RS entity, in the FBiH entity, the awareness of statehood ceases at the inter-entity line for the majority of political actors, and the marking is reduced to a few gatherings and the holiday schedule of public transport”.
