SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Following information that four foreign members of international coalition forces in the peace support mission in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan tested positive for coronavirus, we wish to inform the public that there are no infected members of the BiH Armed Forces in Afghanistan at this moment.
"All members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina who are currently in the peace support mission in Afghanistan are in good health and are not positive for the COVID-19 virus. None of the members of the BiH Armed Forces had contact with the four foreign soldiers in whom this virus has been registered. As in the entire Armed Forces of BiH, all self-protection measures against the COVID-19 virus have been taken for the members of the BiH Armed Forces serving in the mission in Afghanistan, and they regularly perform their legally defined tasks," the Ministry of Defence stated in a press release.
The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina participate in the peace support operation "Resolute Support" in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with a total of 68 members of the BiH Armed Forces.
