Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina Announces Call for Applications to Military Academies of the Republic of Turkey

(Patria) - The Ministry of Defence of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, 19 May 2025, announced a call for applications to the military academies of the Republic of Turkey. This time, the call for Turkish military academies has been issued for the following number of candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina:

- Army Military Academy, 6 candidates;
- Air Force Military Academy, 2 candidates;
- Military Medical Academy, 2 candidates.

The call is open to young men and women from civilian life who have successfully completed secondary school with a minimum overall grade of "good" (Level IV with a curriculum in which mathematics is represented for at least two school years, and chemistry and physics for at least one school year – for the Air Force and Army Academies – and mathematics, chemistry, biology, and physics for at least two school years, in the case of the Military Medical Academy) and who, as of 1 September 2025, will not be older than 21 years (for the Air Force and Army Academies) or will not be older than 20 years (for the Military Medical Academy). Those currently attending the fourth grade of secondary school may also apply, provided that upon completion of the grade they must have at least the same grade point average as in the report card from the first semester of the fourth grade.

The training of cadets at the Army Military Academy and the Air Force Academy of the Republic of Turkey lasts five years, while at the Military Medical Academy it lasts seven years. In the first year, cadets will learn Turkish.

Admission requires a good knowledge of English (ALCPT test - minimum 60 points), computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet), good health and physical fitness, that the candidate has no criminal record, and that they have height and weight within the defined standards of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey. The call is open for 15 (fifteen) days from the date of publication.
