
(Patria)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, is visiting Strasbourg, where he has arranged a series of meetings with EU officials for today and tomorrow, primarily representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament, to present the progress BiH has made before the finalization of the Enlargement Package, which the European Commission will prepare as a communication to the European Parliament and the Council, and to advocate for an EU decision on BiH's further progress on its EU path, preferably through a decision to open accession negotiations.
On the sidelines of the European Parliament's plenary session in Strasbourg, BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković met today with Members of the European Parliament Romeo Franz, Chairman of the European Parliament's Delegation for BiH, and Reinhard Butikofer, coordinator for the Greens political group for the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Minister Konaković thanked the MEPs for their continued strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European integration. He informed them about the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of European integration in recent months, with a special emphasis on the recently adopted five laws.
Opinions were exchanged on the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of Bosnia and Herzegovina's commitment to the EU path.
