(Patria) - The Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of BiH, Miloš Lučić, has submitted his resignation to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Zoran Tegeltija.
Lučić was arrested on December 6th on the order of the BiH Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of abuse of office. The Court of BiH imposed prohibitory measures on him.
According to Srpskainfo, in his resignation letter, Lučić states that the "BiH Prosecutor's Office generated a media campaign against him, which grossly violated his right to the presumption of innocence".
As an example of such a claim, he cites the Prosecutor's Office statement from December 9th, in which they condemned the Court's decision to impose only prohibitory measures on him, "which are contrary to the strategic commitments of institutions in the fight against corruption".
