Serbian Minister of Police Nebojša Stefanović spoke with police officer from Preševo Redžep Arifi, whose photograph with a Syrian boy went around the world, reports the Patria news agency.
Stefanović announced that he would reward him for his displayed humanity. Stefanović told a press conference that Arifi, at a time when humaneness and attention were lost in the environment, showed humanity and the kind and decent face of the Serbian police.
"He showed that Serbian police officers have a normal and decent attitude towards all people who come to our country, and his humanity touched us all," said Stefanović, B92 reports.
