(Patria) - Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Srđan Amidžić said that a way will be found for every individual who has earned a salary to receive their personal income, which falls under human rights defined by international standards, after banks closed accounts of individuals under OFAC and US sanctions. Among them are a certain number of political officials who cannot receive salaries.
"The income of every individual is something that is international law. From that perspective, as someone who respects that, we must find a solution for people /under sanctions/ to receive what is their personal income. Of course, we will find a solution for every individual who has earned their salary," said Amidžić.
He also spoke about temporary financing, stating that all institutions are functioning normally, and that 21,500 people are performing their jobs regularly.
When it comes to the expenses of BiH institutions for last year, Amidžić said that these mainly consist of expenses for salaries, presentations, travel, and other forms of material costs.
"When it comes to these expenses, the pressure comes from those who want comfort. It is a consumer budget and as such it should be as small as possible because it means more funds in the entities," said Amidžić.
He confirmed that the Central Bank of BiH paid 64.5 million KM into the treasury from its realized profit.
When it comes to the economic reality in BiH, Amidžić said that it relies on Europe, and the situation in Europe's leading economies is not the best.
"Europe's leading economies have entered a recession, and until Europe starts to improve, we cannot expect BiH to make any progress," concluded Amidžić.
