The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today sentenced Predrag Milisavljević and Miloš Pantelić to 20 years in prison each for crimes against Bosniak civilians from the Višegrad area during the Serbian aggression against BiH.
The two, as members of the reserve police force, were found guilty of participating in the murder of 48 people near the Paklenik pit (Sokolac municipality) on June 15, 1992.
Ljubomir Tasić, the third defendant in this case, was acquitted of the charges. The Prosecutor's Office had charged him with the forced relocation of civilians from the Višegrad area in June 1992.
Bakira Hasečić, president of the Association "Woman-Victim of War" from Višegrad, said she is outraged by the verdict.
- According to this, the criminals got only four months for each person killed. This is a catastrophic verdict – said Hasečić.
