Milanović concerned about BiH election budget in Livno

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Zoran Milanović, President of the Republic of Croatia, attended a ceremonial session in Livno on the occasion of the city's defense anniversary.

Milanović also briefly mentioned the upcoming General Elections in BiH in his speech.

“Elections in the preparation of which everything has been done to ignore the fundamental principles of the Dayton Peace Agreement, to trample on them, so that the elections are ultimately held without a budget. I am thinking about what it would be like if I ran the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia without a budget, finding finances from friends, relatives, business partners. That is not how a European country functions, that is not the path to Europe,” said Milanović.

He reiterated that Ukraine cannot receive candidate status for EU membership without BiH receiving the same treatment because, as he explained, it is as if someone cut off his arm.

“Believe me, the breath for a European BiH is much stronger, with wider alveoli, in Zagreb than in a large part of Sarajevo,” Milanović pointed out.

Serbia is the sponsor of the Serb people in BiH, and Milanović says he cannot change that.
