(Patria) – The President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milan Tegeltija, today gave a statement as a witness to the acting prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the current event, it was announced from the HJPC.
Although there are no more details about what he said to the prosecutor, Tegeltija was questioned due to the scandal shaking the judiciary after Žurnal published a video in which SIPA inspector Marko Pandža takes money for a 'bribe' from Nermin Alešević to speed up his case through Tegeltija, who was supposed to push the case through Dalida Burzić, former chief prosecutor of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, now a judge of the BiH Court.
Regarding this event, the current minister Dragan Mektić called citizens to protests held yesterday in front of the HJPC, where several hundred people from all over BiH gathered and demanded Tegeltija's dismissal.
