Migrant stabbed to death in Bihać, police searching for killer

(Patria) - Members of the MUP of Una-Sana Canton are searching for an unknown person who severely injured an Afghan citizen, J.M., with a knife on New Year's Eve, who later died from his injuries at the Cantonal Hospital in Bihać.

This incident occurred not far from the Lipa migrant camp, a few kilometers from Bihać, Nezavisne novine reports.

- A police patrol responded to the report and arrived at the scene, finding a person with stab wounds. It was determined that this person is not a user of the migrant camp and the incident happened outside its boundaries.

The injured man was transported by ambulance to the Cantonal Hospital in Bihać, where, unfortunately, he died after a few hours.

The police are searching for one or more perpetrators of this incident - said Adnan Beganović, inspector of the criminal police of the MUP of Una-Sana Canton.

The investigation into the entire case has been taken over and is being conducted by the Prosecutor's Office of Una-Sana Canton.
