Mićo and Nenad stole evidence materials from the BiH Court and Prosecutor's Office and sold them

Acting on the order of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, police officers of the MUP of RS and the Federal Police Administration arrested Trifković Mićo, born in 1969, and Petrović Nenad, born in 1966, employees of the BiH Prosecutor's Office and the BiH Court.

The mentioned suspects are under investigation for the prolonged criminal offense of embezzlement in office under Article 221 of the Criminal Code of BiH and the criminal offense of aggravated theft in complicity, it was announced from the BiH Prosecutor's Office. 

They are suspected of having, for a longer period, Trifković as a driver employed at the BiH Prosecutor's Office and Petrović as a specialist clerk for the execution of criminal sanctions and evidence of temporarily seized items at the BiH Court, within the complex of judicial institutions, stolen goods (evidence materials), by selling which they obtained illegal property benefits.

"Due to the interest of the investigation, we cannot provide more information to the public at this time," the BiH Prosecutor's Office stated. 

For the mentioned suspects, the acting prosecutor will submit a proposal to the BiH Court for the determination of a 30-day detention measure. 

Within the case, the BiH Prosecutor's Office will insist on the confiscation of illegal property benefits acquired by the suspects.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office emphasizes that it is determined in the fight against crime and corruption and that it will intensively and thoroughly investigate and prosecute the committed illegalities, especially because the perpetrators are employees of judicial institutions.

A disciplinary procedure will be conducted against the employee of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, who has already been removed from performing his duties and tasks, the institution announced.
