Michel: EU will stand with Ukraine until victory over Russia

(Patria) - President of the European Council Charles Michel said yesterday, on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's independence, that the EU will stand with Kyiv until it wins the war with Russia.

"Dear Ukrainians, your courage is an example to us. You remind us that freedom is something one must fight for. We will stand at your side until you prevail", Michel wrote on platform X.

Michel added that the day is approaching when the EU will welcome Ukraine into the bloc, "where it belongs".
