MFS – EMAUS in action: With 30 KM, you can sponsor a child in Burkina Faso

MFS-EMMAUS has been sending scholarships and aid to children in Burkina Faso, Africa, a country considered one of the poorest in the world, for the fourth consecutive year. Fundraising is underway for the scholarship of children for the 2017/2018 school season. The scholarship for one child costs only 30 convertible marks for one school year.

This humanitarian campaign was launched in 2014 under the name "Test your humanity - help me finish school too", and the initiator was the network of partner organizations BBF (Bosnia-Burkina Faso - France). Thanks to this cooperation, three MFS-EMMAUS employees visited this country and saw for themselves the catastrophic living conditions of the local population, after which a great desire and a sense of moral obligation to help them arose.

Since 2014, thanks to the citizens and donors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, MFS-EMMAUS has sponsored 1308 children and distributed two containers of material aid, which consisted of school supplies, food and hygiene packages, clothing, footwear, agricultural tools, construction materials for equipping schools, etc.

Going to school, socializing with peers, playing and joy are the rights and needs of children all over the world. However, data shows that more than 38 million children in Africa still do not go to school.

Therefore, show humanity in action and be proud that at least one child in distant Africa will be educated thanks to you.
