Operation "Security" targets low-level dealers

The operation codenamed "Security", being carried out today in several cities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina against organized drug trafficking, targets low-level dealers and criminals, the BH News Agency Patria (NAP) has learned from police sources.

According to media reports, more than 100 people are being questioned, and more than 2,000 police officers are participating in the operation. As we have learned, the operation is coordinated by the Federal Police Administration, but the data on the suspects was provided by cantonal ministries of internal affairs.

- This is an important operation, but nothing spectacular. Mostly, these are individuals who have been the subject of investigations and operational work before - a source told us.

The most intensive activity is in the Zenica-Doboj Canton and Tuzla Canton, while in Sarajevo, searches were carried out in the municipalities of Centar and Stari Grad. The results of this operation will be presented to the public by the Federal Police Administration, and search warrants were previously issued by municipal courts, NAP learns.
