However, he noted that this task cannot be accomplished in just a few days or weeks, and added that all Germans who create something innovative in the future will not have to go to the US, but will be able to realize themselves in their homeland.

Merz concluded his speech by declaring war on radical elements on both the left and the right, stating that the times of ideologies are over and that Germany must show what it can do.
